Our Catering Positions

ALL of our positions are scheduled on an as-needed/on-call basis, based on the volume and complexity of the events week by week.

Floor Staff

Reports to Captains and the Service Director. They are responsible for serving food and beverages to guests at catering events.

Floor Staff duties include: assisting with the complete setup and breakdown of the event area, maintaining a high level of cleanliness, maintaining composure in a fast-paced environment, exceeding customer service expectations, etc.

Bartender*

Reports to Captains and the Service Director. They are responsible for serving alcoholic beverages based on client requests.

Bartender's duties include: complete setup and breakdown of their bar, verifying the identification and age of guests, preparing and serving alcoholic beverages, cleaning glasses and bar utensils, accepting payment from guests when on a cash bar, etc. and all responsibilities mentioned under Floor Staff.

Captain*

Reports to the Service Director. They are responsible for ensuring that their assigned events and activities are organized and executed, providing a high quality catering service, to achieve client satisfaction. Managing Floor Staff and Bartenders assigned to your event.

Captain's duties include: planning, assigning, and directing work for Floor Staff and Bartenders, leading set-up and breakdown of event room, communicating with the client, etc. and all responsibilities previously mentioned. Captains MUST be able to perform in all positions (floor staff, bartender, action stations, etc.).

* ALL bartenders and Captains must be TIPS certified before being assigned to bars. TIPS is an online alcohol server training program that issues a certification that lasts 3 years. If you are not certified, you can  enroll in online training on the TIPS website.

Kitchen Prep

Minimum of two (2) years of commercial kitchen experience with the same company.  Daily tasks will include preparing of all foods for future groups, preparing and cooking daily for items, constant cleaning of the kitchen, going to events and working stations or prep and anything else that is needed to keep the operation of the entire Dupre Catering Company running smoothly.  Applicant must be available to work any and all shifts including am, early am, pm, nights, weekends, holidays and the ability to travel and work extended days.  Rate is commensurate with experience.
